1922 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Lola M. Bigler, 91, of Olathe, Kan., died Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Santa Marta. Lola was born Jan. 1, 1922, at Carlisle, Noble County, Ohio, the younger of three daughters of Christian G. and Anna Craft Schell. She graduated from Bliss Business College, Columbus, Ohio, in 1940 and in 1949 received a B.A. Degree in Editorial Journalism from the Ohio State University, where she was a member of Theta Sigma Phi professional sorority. She was an editor of the Journal of the American Ceramic Society in Columbus, and was employed by Sun Publications of Overland Park, Kan., for 40 years. In 1952, Lola married Barney H. Bigler and lived the majority of their lives in Prairie Village, Kan., where they were members of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 27, 2013, and their son, Mark Joseph Bigler. She is survived by her daughters, Anne Leslie (Tiberio) Lindgren and their children Alex, Adrienne, Karl, Irvine, Calif., and Lisa Mary(Mark) Kohlrus and their children Zachary, Chris, Maggie, Debbie, Lenexa, Kan., and two sisters, Wilma Gillogly, Ohio, and Melba Charvat of Cape Coral, Fla. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13615 W. 92nd Lenexa, KS 66215. Monsignor Raymond Burger presiding. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
