1933 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Emily Mae Foreman, Major in The Salvation Army, was promoted to glory on December 10, 2013, at the age of 80. She was born September 10, 1933, in Shamokin, PA, the youngest of four children of William R. and Verna Mae (Daub) Coles. Along with her parents, Major Foreman was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Major Ronald R. Foreman, Sr., and brother, Col. Robert N. Coles. A lifelong member of The Salvation Army, Major Foreman served as a minister throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and the Kansas City area. She was instrumental in the establishment of Booth Manor in Grandview, MO. Survivors include her children and spouses, Majors Ron and Dorine Foreman, Martha and Bill Hubler, Bill and Cindy Foreman, John and Kristi Foreman, and Ruth Loret; brothers and sister-in-law, Major Charles and Charlotte Coles, and Dr. William Coles; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, as well as a great grandson due in April, 2014. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, followed by a service celebrating Major Foreman's ministry and life at 1:30 pm, on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 N. State Route 291, Liberty, MO. A service at the Salvation Army Pottsville (PA) Corps (Church) and burial in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven, PA will be Saturday, December 21. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army Northland Corps in Gladstone, MO.
