CHARLES NICHOLAS "CHUCK" LILLIG Obituary
CHARLES "CHUCK" NICHOLAS LILLIG Charles "Chuck" Nicholas Lillig, beloved father, husband, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City, MO at the age of 76 on December 27, 2013. He was born in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. Chuck was in the service to his country a member of the United States Navy from 1954- 1958. He was an entrepreneur and founded the Lillig Construction Company in 1974 and also established Blayney's in Westport as well as numerous other bars and grills. Chuck was born to Paul and Mary Lillig on October 22, 1937 and had six brothers and sisters. Chuck and Mary Theresa Stitz (deceased) were married for 24 years and have four children, Chuck "Chuckie" Lillig (Chris Owens), James "Jim" Lillig (Kristi), Christine Newell and Rebecca Fletcher; nine grandchildren, Cassie, Chelsea, Shelby, Holly, Hannah, Jacob, Tyler, Gabrielle and Katie; a great grandson, Kingston Charles Dukes. Chuck is also survived by his beloved of 22 years, Jeanne Martin of Kansas City, MO; siblings, Paul Lillig of Kansas City, MO (Frances), Dakotah Lillig Fitzgerald of Westlake Village, CA, Stephanie Breedlove of Kansas City, MO (Michael) and Michael Lillig of Jeffersonville, IN. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elizabeth Montgomery and Regina Haus. Chuck's lasting legacy to his family was the continuation of important family values that he received from his parents and passed onto his children. He has left a vacuum not only for those mentioned but for the many nieces, nephews, friends and associates. The rosary will be prayed at 5:00pm, Monday, December 30th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO followed by visitation until 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the VA Hospital of Kansas City, MO. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.muehlebachchapel.com Muehlebach Funeral Care.
