Edward A. Van Glabek

ST. CHARLES – Edward A. Van Glabek, 83, born June 28, 1930, longtime resident of St. Charles, passed away, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.

Ed was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy and was a faithful alumni to the Academy.

He started out his career in the printing world first at Roto-Color in St. Charles and then spent several years with the Aurora Beacon News followed by a lengthy career in real estate in the Fox Valley and Chicagoland.

He is survived by his children, daughter Christine Moffett (Todd), William Van Glabek, (Joan) of Marcos Island, Fla.; he was grandfather to Margaret "Maggie" Moffett of St. Charles.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at St. Patrick Church 400 Cedar St., St. Charles. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, St. Charles.

Contributions may be made to Marmion Military Academy, 1000 Butterfield Road Aurora, IL 60502, in the name of Edward Van Glabek.
