Eva Maria Nettles, 47, of Wildwood, Mo., passed away on Feb. 24, 2014. Mrs. Nettles lived with her husband and three children in Geneva from 2000 until relocating to Wildwood in 2013.
Mrs. Nettles prided herself as pursuing one of life's greatest profession, that of being a full- time mom to her three children. Born May 6, 1966 in St. Louis, she was preceded in death by her father Laszlo Lagage of Denver and survived by her mother Maria Kovacs-Lagage, also of Denver. She was a member of Christ Community Church in St. Charles.
She is further survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael Nettles of Wildwood and their three children Kelsey, Kayla and Jacob. She is also survived by three siblings, Kathy (spouse Mike) Cole of House Springs, Mo., Michael (spouse Christine) Lagage of Denver and Danny (spouse Jamie) Lagage of Denver. She leaves behind father and mother-in-law Cecil and Arleda Nettles of Arnold, Mo., and sister-in-law Regina (spouse Mike) Stark of Oakville, Mo. She also is survived by cousins Becky and Tina as well as nieces and nephews Amanda, Timothy, Amanda, Josh, Hayden, Daphne, Shay and Faye.
Eva was a breast cancer
survivor and courageous cancer warrior for these past eight years, active in community cancer awareness programs for the Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva. For those friends and family wishing to memorialize her battle and pay tribute to the personal and quality care of the medical professionals in Geneva that helped her fight the disease, the family encourages donations to the Living Well Cancer Resource Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 28 at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis County. Interment was at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Mo.
