ST. CHARLES – Marilyn Snow, 69, of St. Charles, died March 20, 2013, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Aug. 22, 1943 in Canton, Ohio, to Martin and Avis Trei.
She was a valued member of the health care community. As one of the first woman paramedics in Illinois, she touched countless lives. Her career spanned more than 29 years, performing various roles at Delnor Hospital. Upon retiring, she continued her greatest role as grandma and the matriarch of her family. She also loved to read and be artistic. She was a member of St. John Neumann Church in St. Charles in the early days. Marilyn was a great listener, loving wife, mother and grandma. She was a very strong woman with a sensational sense of humor and great faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Alex Walsh; and niece, Jessica Trei.
Survivors include her beloved spouse of 50 years, Everett Snow of St. Charles; a daughter, Kathy Snow Gore (Jim) of St. Charles; a sister, Karen Pike (Skip) of Benson, Ariz.; a nephew, Todd Tipton; three brothers, Bradley Trei (Barbara) of Mt. Morris, Boyd Trei (Caroline) of Las Vegas, and Gary Trei of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Johnathan Walsh (Sarah Schaffer), Casey Carlson and Samantha Carlson.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 36W925 Red Gate Road, St. Charles. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. with Senior Pastor John P. Nelson officiating. Desserts to follow. Memorials may be made to Hosanna! Lutheran Church.
