GENEVA – Wayne Magnotta, 53, of Geneva passed away, on Dec. 2, 2012.
Wayne, the son of Amedeo and Ann Magnotta, was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1958. He graduated from Clarkstown Senior High School South in 1977 and attended Pace University in Pleasantville, N.Y.
He married Carol Manzi in 1995 and lived in Washingtonville, N.Y., before relocating to Geneva in 2004. Wayne will be remembered for his compassion and thoughtfulness. He was a deeply devoted son, father, husband, brother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone he met. Wayne was also a dedicated professional who was known for his strong work ethic at Verizon Wireless, where he worked. His generous nature will be profoundly missed by all.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter Ashley; father Amedeo; mother, Anna; and the families of his four brothers, Brian, Craig (wife Tara), Glenn (wife Jill), and Chris (wife Kelly).
The wake will be from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, and continues from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, N.Y.
The Burial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at St. Anthony's Church, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 15 at Fox Valley Christian Church, 40W 150 Main St., Batavia, Ill., with a gathering to follow.
