Corinne M. Albright Obituary
BATAVIA – Corinne M. Albright, 98, of Batavia passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at her residence. She was born October 25, 1914, in Springfield, the daughter of Nicholas Hugh and Clara Alice (nee Mauer) McRoberts. She was united in marriage to John E. Albright July 26, 1941, in Springfield.

Corinne was an icon to many – that at age 98, she was still excited and inspired by beauty, that she could laugh and enjoy life, and that she was passionate about flowers, politics, art, music and clothes. She was a consummate seeker of spiritual knowledge and understanding. What's more amazing, she was still open to change to grow deeper spiritually to become a better human being and mother. Many are grateful for her laughter, lessons and example.

She is survived by her seven daughters, Andrea (Jack) white of Fort Wayne, Ind., Laurette (Terry) Grove of Geneva, Deborah (Marvin "Buzz") Marqui of St. Charles, Frances Miles of Aurora, Felicity Albright of Freedom, Pa., Corinne "Bunnie" Albright of Batavia and Abigail (James) Ehrhardt of Geneva; two sons, John (Robin) Albright of Geneva and Ted Albright of Beckley, W.V.; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three brothers, William McRoberts, Richard (Cleta) McRoberts and Joseph McRoberts.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Albright; and three brothers, Nicholas, Howard and Bernard McRoberts.

The wake is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL. The service, "Remembering Corinne," is from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will begin with prayers from the Moss Family Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main St. Batavia, to celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at West Batavia Cemetery in Batavia.

In lieu of flowers to remember Corinne, memorial contributions may be directed to Hands of Hope (2 Acorn Lane, Barrington, IL 60010) for the purpose of installing a well in a village in Zambia. This mission project of helping poor women and children in Africa is dear to Corinne and her family.
