Dorothy Juanita Crome, 96, of Bartlett, formerly of Burlington, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 29, 2018 at Franciscan Court in West Chicago.

She was born Nov. 5, 1922 in Faxon, OK the daughter of John and Etta (Blevins) Roskam. She married John C. Crome on Oct. 28, 1941 and they moved to Burlington in 1952. After John's passing, she later moved to Genoa in 2002.

Juanita was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church of Burlington and a Lioness member. She had been employed by Lee Optical Shop of Elgin for many years. She very much enjoyed quilting and square dancing with John. Her great joy was watching her grandchildren and great- grandchildren thrive.

Surviving are her three children, Patricia (Richard) Laverty of Bartlett, Kenneth (Patricia) Crome of Freeport, Charles (Marissa) Crome of DeKalb; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John on Nov. 15, 1998; a son, Roger Crome; and three brothers, John, George, and Leonard Roskam.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, Jan. 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 19N535 French Rd., Burlington. Burial will follow in Burlington Twp. Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church and continues on Friday prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
