Eric A. Danielson, 57, of Batavia and Leland, IL, passed way Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.

He was born October 15, 1960 in Sandwich, IL the son of Edward A. and Shirley J. (Lindblad) Danielson. He married Maria A. Kawka on June 30, 1990 in Hickory Hills, IL. He was a member of the Leland Lions Club, and was former President. Eric was a board member at Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich, IL, volunteered at Equine Dreams, also was a member of American Society of Quality, and the society of Rumly Auto Pulls. He enjoyed working on antique tractors, and cars aka rolling stock. He coached softball at Batavia Park District and volunteered with the timing at swim meets. He was very involved in family history but his first love was farming. Eric managed and farmed his ancestor's farms in and around Leland.

He is survived by his wife, Maria of Batavia, IL; one daughter, Karina Danielson of Batavia, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas J. and Bernadette Kawka of Orland Park, IL; one sister, Lisa (Joseph) Gregor of Itasca, IL; two sisters-in-law, Monica (Eric) Kantner of Downers Grove, IL, and Melissa Kawka of Orland Park, IL; three brothers-in-law, Mark (Laura) Kawka of Palos Hills, IL, Michael (Gena) Kawka of Orland Hills, IL, and Thomas P. (Dawn) Kawka of NV; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Anne E. Danielson.

A celebration of life will be held for Eric at a later date. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery rural Leland, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Equine Dreams or The Open Door Rehabilitation Center.
