GENEVA – Jean S. Narimatsu, 95, of Geneva, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her children.
She was born Dec. 6, 1916, in El Paso, Texas.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Geneva, and many will remember her for her ready smile and "high five" greetings to old and young alike.
Jean is survived by two children, Kei (Jean) Narimatsu of Geneva and Susan of St. Charles; three grandchildren, Kevin (Stephanie Jayne) Narimatsu and Scott and Julie (Chad Beffa) Narimatsu; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan and Stephen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; an infant son, Steven; two brothers, Edward and Arthur Ikom; and her two beloved Yorkies, Reggie and Penny.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at United Methodist Church of Geneva. Interment will be private.
A visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State St. (Route 38), Geneva. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to H.E.L.P., P.O.
