Died: November 13, 2017; in Geneva, IL

Lois Mae Olson, 84, of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia and formerly a longtime resident of Geneva passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.

She was born May 8, 1933, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Robert Miller and Bertha (nee Schneider) Miller Lance. Lois was united in marriage to Charles Olson July 31, 1954, in Geneva, IL.

Lois was employed at Frank's Finer Foods and Illinois Bell Telephone Company for many years prior to her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva and Catholic Daughters of America. Lois was an accomplished artist who enjoyed to paint. She was an extremely proud mother and grandmother who enjoyed sharing with others her love for them and all their accomplishments.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Olson; four children, Steven (Dawn) Olson, of Elburn, IL, Michael (Sue) Olson, of St. Charles, IL, Carol (Dave) Moses, of Geneva, IL and Susan (Tim) Baker of Geneva, IL; twelve grandchildren, Paige, Alexandra, and Taylor Olson, Jennifer (Chase) Anderson, Jacqueline and Andrew Olson, Emily, April, and David Comperda, Lyndsey Moses, Megan and Benjamin Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, June Glaser and Audrey Meadows.

Visitation was held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia, IL. Funeral services began with prayers 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Moss Family Funeral Home before proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church 1891 Kaneville Road Geneva, IL to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M. Committal services followed the Mass in Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
