DeKALB – Marion Meredith Behling, 94, of DeKalb, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, at Kishwaukee Hospital.

Born Feb. 11, 1919, in Geneva, the daughter of Seth and Rena (Meredith) Peck, Marion married Oscar Behling on Feb. 11, 1956.
A Geneva High School graduate, Marion was a lifelong farmer who loved flower gardening and animals, especially raising her Merino sheep and Guernsey cows. She was a member of Kane County Farm Bureau and the American Guernsey Association. She also enjoyed playing bingo and watching game shows.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Cliff) Hammett and Carol (Jim) Boesche, both of DeKalb; grandchildren, Michael, James (Amanda) and Jessica Hammett and Katherine and Angela Boesche; great-granddaughter, Nora Rose Hammett born on Marion's date of death; sister-in-law, Marie Peck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; infant daughter, Suzanne; brother, Tom Peck; and sister, Laurel Livingston.
The memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at First Congregational Church, 615 N. First St., DeKalb, with the Rev. Joe Gastiger and the Rev. Judy Harris officiating. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
