ST. CHARLES – Martin C. Anderson, 94, of St. Charles, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.|
He was born in St. Charles, the son of Oscar and Lilli (Broberg) Anderson.
Martin worked for Edward Hines Lumber in St. Charles for many years. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Army. He also belonged to the Vikings for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dolores (Miller); two daughters, Ramona (Gary) Osgood of Elmhurst and Rhonda (Steve) Topp of Missouri; and two grandchildren, Megan (Captain Joseph) Doyle and Ryan Osgood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Hildur, Dagmar, Margret, Ema, Rudolf, Helge, Hilding, and Maurice; and his grandson, Kevin.
A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, with Father Moises Apostol officiating at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles, IL 60174, would be appreciated.
