At times like this, it is good to remember what Jesus said at John 5:28.

My husband and I are so sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. Benson had such an impact on so many peoples lives and what they chose for their future. I've always highly respected teachers, and like the greatest teacher, Jesus, she obviously had such great care for everyone that she taught.
And with Jesus compassion, he cried when he seen all the others crying over the death of his dear friend Lazarus. While even then he knew he was going to raise Lazarus from the dead. Which was right back to the earth, where all of his dear friends and family could be with him again. So even now, Jesus still has that same compassion even though he knows he will shortly raise all those asleep in death back to life.
Please continue to take care of yourselves and get your needed rest.
With love,
The Wilds

Rest in peace, Mrs. Benson! She and Gayle Schumer at Marquardt Middle School were two of the main reasons I went on to study mathematics and become a teacher. She rocked! Condolences to the family during this difficult time; the world has lost a brave, spunky lady.

I was a student of Mrs. Benson, her first year at St. Alexander's, in 1971. She inspired me to be a teacher. Not only was she was an outstanding teacher, but she was also an outstanding person. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was always kind, and loving. One of a kind. Love her and miss her already.

I was a student of Mrs. Benson's at Marquardt Middle School from 1989-1991. She has always been a teacher that I tell my kids and students stories about. Definitely one of the five best and most influential teachers in my life.

Best damn science teacher on the planet! Made everyday fun. Makes me proud to be a scientist. Just kidding. I remember she told us that her dog grabbed the turkey off the table one Thanksgiving. Did that really happen? Nancy made the world a better place. Love you Mrs. "B"
