Paul Robert Bristow, 48, of Apollo Beach, Florida died in August, 2018 at his home.

Paul Robert Bristow was born on May 21, 1970 in Geneva, Illinois, the son of Raymond Junior and Janice Berg Bristow. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia. Paul graduated from Batavia High School in the Class of 1988. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Illinois in 1993. Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Juris Doctorate in Law in 1996. He was a member of both the Wisconsin and Illinois Bar Association. In addition, Paul had an advanced degree in Financial Management from Kent College of Law in Chicago.

Following a career in law, Paul moved to the Tampa Bay area in the early 2000s. He was the owner and operator of Love's Lures and later Apollo Beach Bait and Tackle. Paul was an avid fisherman, having traveled all over the world to pursue his passion for fishing.

Paul is survived by his mother, Janice Bristow of Batavia; two brothers, David (Lois) Bristow of Batavia and John (Dawn) Bristow of Holmen, WI; a sister, Pam (Dan) Foelske of Batavia; many nieces and nephews; along with many friends both in Illinois and Florida.

Paul was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law, Barbara Bristow.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 17, preceded by a visitation at 10:00. Following the service, there will be a luncheon and open house at the Foelske's. A service was also held on October 5 at the Skyway fishing pier.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
