Ralph Harold Jaschob, 84, of Park Rapids, Minnesota died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at his residence.

Ralph was born on April 27, 1933 in Geneva, IL the son of Harry and Ann (Neusus) Jaschob. He grew up and attended school in Batavia, IL where he graduated from high school in 1951. He entered the US Navy in Sep 1952, while in the Navy he trained in Aviation and Photography. PH3 Jaschob was honorably discharged from active duty Sep 1956, his reserve obligation ended Sep 1960. He was united in marriage to Roberta Ann Schiedler in September 29, 1956. They lived in Naperville, IL until 1962 when they moved to Park Rapids and owned and operated Ralph's Super Mart for 15 years. He worked for Kohler trucking for 10 years. He retired in 2001 as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He loved to fish and hunt, he loved traveling after retirement and Roberta and Ralph were able to spend 15 winters in Texas. He was a 52 year member of the Otto Hendrickson American Legion Post #212 of Park Rapids. He has been a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. He was also a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his spouse, Roberta A. of Park Rapids, MN; his two sons, James (Yoko) Jaschob of Belleville, IL, Daniel Jaschob of Seattle, WA; his daughter, Janie St. Marie of St. Francis, MN; three grandchildren, Jessica St. Marie of Moorhead, MN, Natalie St. Marie of Duluth, MN, Jayden Krueger of St. Frances, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ann Jaschob; and his brother, Roy Jaschob.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley, MN.
