GENEVA – Lois McLaughlin, 83, of St. Charles, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born April 3, 1930, in St. Charles, Illinois, to Roy and Victoria Osborne.
For over 17 years, she was a teacher assistant and lunch room attendant at Richmond School in St. Charles. She was a great baker, enjoyed her woodworking and gardening with her husband.
Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by her husband of 62 years, James, three children, Robert (Jan) of North Aurora, Diane (Mark) Duncan of St. Charles and Donna Town of Elburn, two grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Duncan and Daniel Duncan, two step-grandchildren, Matthew (Cherie) Binzen and Michelle Jongewaard, five great-grandchildren and a nephew, Rodney (Laura) Osborne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Donald Osborne, and son-in-law, David Town.
Memorial service will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St,, (corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles. Interment will be private at Union Cemetery in St. Charles.
