Lexington resident, 70
LEXINGTON - Howard A. "J.R." Hanson Jr., 70, of Lexington died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with the Rev. Caroline Vickery officiating. Burial before services will be at Robb Cemetery south of Lexington for relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
He was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Tooele, Utah, to Howard A. Sr. and Marie W. (Galbraith) Hanson.
On July 20, 1963, he married Virginia "Ann" Braithwait in Lexington. She died in April 2012.
Survivors include his son, Thomas of Seward; daughters, Jennifer Piatt of Bloomington, Ind., and Elizabeth Ericson of York; brother, Jim of Plattsmouth; sister, Sherry Ward of Lexington; and eight grandchildren.
