Franklin B. "Frank" Coffman, age 84, of Plano, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in his home with his family by his side.

Frank was born April 21, 1933 in Plano, IL the son of Herman Glenn and Martha (Brooks) Coffman Sr. He was united in marriage on May 7, 1960 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Aurora, IL to the former Miss Elaine Plante and they spent the next 57 happy years together. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Frank loved to tell jokes and could always be found at the center of a crowd. He was the Secretary and Treasurer at Coffman Brother's Truck Sales. He was a former Kendall County Board Chairman as well as the Liquor Commissioner of Kendall County.

Frank was a member of the Sunbeam Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M #428 in Plano, IL, lifelong supporter of the National Rifle Association, Past Commander of the Plano American Legion Post 395. He served the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Royal Order of the Raccoons Fishing team, where he was affectionately known as "Father Frank". Frank was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Sandwich, IL Lodge 1016 as well as AMVets Post 103.

Frank is survived by his wife, Elaine Coffman of Plano, IL; his children, Shellie (William) Hollis of Austin, TX, Kristina (Michael) Mayer of Johnsburg, IL, and Terrence (Nicole) Coffman of Aurora, IL; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hollis, Joseph Mayer, Sember Hollis, Kalin Hollis, Samuel Mayer, Jacob Coffman, Nicholas Coffman, Luke Coffman; and a soon to be born great granddaughter; his sister, Neva Cooley; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Martha Coffman; his brothers, Herman "Glenn" Coffman and Erwin "Win" Coffman; his sisters, Devonna "Bonnie" Thompson, and Zada Pekoc.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL with Rev. Charles R. Reichenbacher, O.S.B., officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. Friends may visit from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, in Plano, IL.
