Roberta M. Davidson, nee Gallup, age 91, formerly from Yorkville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at The Grove of Fox Valley.

She was born on June 20, 1926 in Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Fern (Noirfalise) Gallup.

Roberta was united in marriage on September 9, 1944 in Minooka, IL to Robert E. Davidson Sr. and spent the next 59 happy years together. Bob and Roberta started their family in Minooka, IL on the farm. The family moved to Yorkville and Roberta worked for Block Sunny Valley Farm for seventeen years. Roberta found her passion as a CNA and retired with 25 years of service from SunRise Hillside Care and Rehabilitation facility. Also, she loved to organize Heartland Blood Drives in Yorkville.

She is survived by her children, Robert E. "H.D." (Dee) Davidson, Jr. of Plano, Nancy (Ronald) Sarver of Shorewood, Mary (Steve) Sons of Earlville, Laurie Hoelker of Naperville, Lloyd (Megan) Davidson of Chicago; and daughter-in-law, Pam Davidson of Yorkville; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; and her sisters, Ervella Waugh and Velma Lisiecki; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Davidson; her four brothers, Robert, Richard, John, and Ralph Gallup; sister, Ada Davis; her son, David "Wally" Davidson; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Davidson; her son-in-law, Daniel Hoelker; and a grandson, Jason Sarver.

Funeral Services washeld at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville with Pastor Erik Gauss officiating. Friends called from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment followed in the Seward Mound Cemetery in Minooka, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Davidson's name may be directed to the Heartland Blood Drive, Kendall County Veterans, or Rainbow Hospice.

The family wants to extend a huge thank you the owner of The Grove of Fox Valley and the nursing staff.
