Joseph F. Joe Lang, Jr.

1948 - 2013

Joseph Joe F. Lang Jr., 65, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his residence.

Joe entered the U.S. Army on Jan. 8, 1969 and was honorably discharged on Jan. 7, 1971.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1948, to the late Joseph F. and Irene M. (Stackhouse) Lang Sr. in Johnstown, Penn. He came to Kenosha as a young boy and was educated here. He graduated from Tremper High School. He also graduated from Gateway with an associates degree in accounting and from Carthage College with a bachelors degree in accounting and business administration.

He was married to Cheryl Yunker for 35 years and stayed close friends.

He worked at American Brass as a supervisor for many years.

Joe was a member of the United Steel Workers #1201, Past Commander of the American Legion and an honorary member of the VFW #1865. Joe was a member of the honor guard with the VFW Post 1865 for many years.

Joe was an avid Cub fan, baseball card collector, enjoyed gardening, animals, woodworking and was a jack of all trades.

Joe is survived by his children, Shannon Lang of Kenosha, Joseph Lang of Madison, Jaime (Joseph) Minneci of Kenosha, Danielle Lang of Madison and Paul (Leslie) Lang of Madison and his grandchildren Alex Joseph Lang, Aidan James Lang and Abigail Irene Minneci.

His sister Irene Sis Russell precedes him in death.

A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Full Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to the family.
