Kenneth M. Wilkinson, Sr.
1934 - 2013
Kenneth M. Wilkinson, Sr., 78, of Kenosha, Wis., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his home in Kenosha.
Kenneth was born May 7, 1934, at Chemung, Ill. He was raised by his grandparents Robert and Sophia Wilkinson at Sharon, Wis. He retired from American Motors after 30 years where he had been employed as an engine repair mechanic. Kenneth also worked as a tree trimmer and operated his own small saw mill.
He enjoyed the out of doors and loved hunting, fishing, trapping and raising birds and selling his birds and pelts. Kenneth liked to smoke fish, making his home made wine and working in his garden.
He is survived by his children; Kenneth Wilkinson, Jr. and wife, Donna Jo of Sturtevant, Wis., Jacqueline and husband, Donald Staver of Chemung, Ill., Dawn Thompson of Merrillan, Wis., Vickie Gomez of Merrillan, Wis., Robert Wilkinson of Humbird, Wis., Lisa and husband, Travis Marchetti of Paddock Lake, Wis., Paula and husband, Steven Goetsch of Kenosha, Wis; and step-son, Edwin Blaisdell of Oconto, WI; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Jones of Chemung, Ill.; a brother, David Klaman of Rockford, Ill., and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, (Marie Klaman); a brother, (Jerold); two sisters (Alvina and Sherry); daughter, (Anna); step-son, (Virgil); infant twin grandsons and one step-grandson.
Services for Kenneth Wilkinson will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth, Wis., with Rev. Susanne Wilczek, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Walworth Cemetery.
