Cheryl L. Sherry Cross, 61, of Kenosha, died on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at her residence.
Born in Milwaukee on March 25, 1952, she was the daughter of Eugene and Arleen (Flemming) Kuenzli. She moved from Oshkosh to Kenosha in 1975.
On July 1, 1978, she was united in marriage to Robert Cross. Their union later dissolved.
She was employed with Caravan Knight working in maintenance at Chrysler Corporation. Previously, Sherry was employed with Somewhere Else, V.F.W., and the Kenosha Moose Lodge as a bar manager.
Sherry enjoyed spending time cooking, snowmobiling, camping, watching movies and riding her Harley. She had an extensive Betty Boop Collection and loved her dog, Rasta. In previous years, she enjoyed bowling, billiards and shooting darts. Sherry was an avid Packer fan and she was never afraid of saying that she hated the Bears.
She will be remembered by her father, Eugene Kuenzli; her two daughters, Amy (Brian) Bloomgren and Jeanie Cross; her five grandchildren, Keith (Katie) Edman, Amber (Dustin) Lhotka, and William, Gavin and Abbie Bloomgren; her great grandson, William Edman; her sister, Christine Wilson; her three nieces, Candice, Casey and her goddaughter, Carlee; and her faithful canine companion, Rasta.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Arleen Kuenzli.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A visitation for Sherry will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the family would be appreciated.
