Clayton Joseph Johnson

1930 - 2013

Clayton Johnson, 82, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away of leukemia on March 18, 2013, in his home. The son of the late Cyrus and Rose (Couveau) Johnson he was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Kingsford, Mich., and attended schools in Aurora, Wis.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was injured twice resulting in hospitalizations in Japan. He often worked two jobs supporting his family as a machinist and maintenance man.

He is survived by his wife Doris Johnson, son William Johnson (Jean) of Houston, Tex.; daughter, Susan LaFever of Racine, Wis.; sister, Mary Skell (Bill) of Neenah, Wis.; brother, Clyde Johnson (Betty) of Kenosha, Wis.; grandson, Christian Johnson; granddaughter, Moriah Lane (Troy) and three great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mitsue (Aoyama) Johnson and his second wife, Patricia Johnson.

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements. Burial will be scheduled in the spring in the Homestead Aurora Free Church Cemetery in Aurora, Wis.
