Eleodoro Lolo Pacheco, Sr.
1935 - 2013
Eleodoro Lolo Pacheco, Sr., 78, of Kenosha, died on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
Born in Harlingen, TX on June 19, 1935, he was the son of the late Eusebio and Teresa (Juarez) Pacheco.
In 1951, Eleodoro moved from Texas to Chicago Heights and to Kenosha in 1981.
During the Korean War
, he honorably served in the U.S. Army.
On May 19, 1973 in Milwaukee, Wis., he was married to Alicia O. Ozuna.
Eleodoro was employed for 28 years as a foreman with Century Steel. Also, he owned and operated
La Potosina Grocery Store from 1979 until its closing and then El Valle until his retirement from the store business in 1989. His vision was to provide exceptional service and give back to the community by sponsoring many sports teams.
After his military service, Eleodoro began boxing. Boxing taught him the fight to the end principles that he lived every day. He enjoyed attending sporting events and was a huge Chicago Sports fan. He liked to cook, travel, play golf and baseball but above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Pacheco; his three children, Cindia S. (Manuel A. Guizar) Pacheco, Eleodoro (Alicia L. Perez) Pacheco, Jr. and Noe (Katie S. Holz) Pacheco; his two granddaughters, Patricia N. Pacheco and Monique Perez Pacheco; his two great-granddaughters, Arilyana M. Pacheco-Vega and Ezraliya Arabella Valadez; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Juan and Julio Pacheco; and his niece, Denise A. Navarrete.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Eleodoro will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
