George Mico Jr.
1929 - 2014
George Mico Jr., 84, of San Diego, Calif., passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his home in San Diego.
George served in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1949. He received an honorable discharge in 1949.
George received his B.S.E.E. from Tri-State College, his M.A. in Operations Research, as well as his Prof. D. in Management and Industrial Engineering from Columbia University. He consulted and lectured for such world-wide organizations as IBM, Xerox, Union Carbide and the U.S. Civil Service. He was an independent management consultant and author of numerous business, management and statistical publications. He taught Statistical Decision Theory at National University.
Surviving are his three children, Gerald Mico of Trevor, Wis., Ted Mico of Venice, Calif., and Richard Mico of London, England. He is further survived by his grandchildren and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy.
