Helen A. Ivy, 92, of Kenosha died on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Wynwood-Kenosha, Brookdale Senior Living; exactly three years to the day of the death of her beloved husband.

Born on Feb. 28, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Remaike) Plaushines. Helen attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

Helen was united in marriage to William M. Ivy Sr. on July 31, 1943, in Austin, Tex. They were blessed with three children and 67 years of marriage.

A homemaker for her family; she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an accomplished seamstress. Helen was a member of the Kenosha County Homemakers.

Once the children were grown, Helen worked in sales at Montgomery Wards and at the Wonder Bread outlet store.

Helen is survived by her children, Bette (Ben) Harbach of Somers, William (Patricia) Ivy, Jr. of Kenosha and Richard (Sharon) Ivy of Kenosha; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, with another one on the way, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, William; her brother, Peter and her sister, Rose.

A visitation for Helen will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Private interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance, Inc., 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI, 53158, would be appreciated by the family.
