Henry C. Billingsley, Jr.

Henry Hank C. Billingsley, Jr., 66, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 1, 2013, at his home. He was born May 1, 1946, in Decatur, Ill., to Henry, Sr. and Garnet (Cummings) Billingsley. Henry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Parks College-St. Louis University. Henry was a proud Veteran who served state-side in the National Guard for six years during the Vietnam Era. Hank married the love of his life, Sandra Bralley, on March 16, 1968, and together they raised three children. He worked as a Fuel Systems Engineer for Outboard Marine Corp. (OMC) for over 19 years. He became Mr. Mom as he supported Sandy through Medical School and her
Family Practice Residency. In 2000, he and his son, Eric, started their own business, Billingsley Engineering.
Henry was involved in his community having served on the Paris Planning Commission Board and the Westosha Central High School Board. He was a 4-H Board Member and was a 4-H leader who taught all aspects regarding small engines. He was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Kenosha.
Hank loved to fly and was an instrument instructor with over 3000 hours of flight time. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and various forms of hobby farming. A favorite pastime was travel with Sandy and family. His family was very important to him and Grandpa B was proud of his children and grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his children, Susan (Bruce) Johns, Henry Patrick (Kelly) Billingsley, and Eric (Shelly)Billingsley; his grandchildren, Hailey, Cody, and Ethan Johns; Jake, Allie, and Ryan Billingsley; and Kaelie and Aiden Billingsley; his mother-in-law, Rosemary Bralley of Atlanta; his siblings, Janet (Bill) Harper, Linda (Lanny) Niedringhaus, Bill (Carolyn) Billingsley, Tom (Kathy) Billingsley, Nancy Amato, Jim (Marcia) Billingsley, Mary (Randy) Hartman, and Dave (Sharon) Billingsley; his siblings-in-law, Patty Bralley and Andy (Carolyn) Bralley; and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry, Sr. and Garnet Billingsley; his infant brother, Joe; and his father-in-law, James Bralley.
Visitation for Henry will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is suggested to the Paris School Foundation.
