John E. Kingfisher, Jr.
1928 - 2013
John E. Kingfisher Jr. walked on to be reunited with the love of his life, Louise, Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
He was born on June 20, 1928 to the late Lucille (Mike) and John E. Kingfisher Sr. in Rice Lake, WI. He was educated in Zion and graduation from Zion-Benton High School.
John entered the U.S. Navy on March 8, 1948, and was honorably discharged on March 7, 1952.
On Dec. 7, 1956, he married Louise Titchie Molette in Waukegan, Ill. She preceded him in death on Dec. 13, 2009.
John worked as a machinist for 34 years at Ladish Tri-Clover, retiring in 1991.
John was a member of the machinists union, a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner and the Wisconsin Indian Elder Association.
John enjoyed square dancing with his wife in the Taws and Paws, bowling, camping, traveling, golfing in his younger years and watching golf on TV and going to casinos. He was a member of the Stink Club at the Fireside Restaurant and was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his loving children ,Brenda Punk Prescott Kingfisher, Mona Angel Pie (Randy) Walentowski and Daniel Bear (Brenda) Kingfisher all of Kenosha; his sister, Alberta Fleming of Stone Lake, Wis.; his nine grandchildren, Kylie, Kellie, Ashley, Daniel, Ryan, Mandy, Megan, Steven and Aaron and 15 great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Funeral services for John will be held on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment with Full Military Honors will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
