Matay Matay Sr.

Reinhold Matay, Sr.

Reinhold Matay Sr., 79 of Orlando, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. He was born in Lodz, Poland and moved to Central Florida in 1981 from Kenosha, Wis. Mr. Matay owned and operated the Golden Link Motel in Kissimmee for several years before retiring. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge and BPOE Elks Lodge in Kissimmee. He was also a member of the Brick Layers Union in Waukegan, Illinois and a Lutheran by faith.

Mr. Matay is survived by his son: Reinhold (Ron) Matay Jr. of Orlando; daughter, Monica M. Jones of Orlando; sister, Alma Wicknig of St. Petersburg, Fla., and four grandchildren. Mr. Matay was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anneliese in 2005.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Remembrance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Golden Link Motel, 4914 W. Irlo Bronson Mem. Hwy, Kissimmee. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Moose Heart Children Home.
