1922 - 2013

Ralph A. Castona, 90, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Brookside Care Center.

He was born in Kenosha on Oct. 8, 1922, a son of the late Ambrose and Agnes Gerlock Castona. He was a graduate of Bradford High and following served in the U.S. Marines Corps as a staff Sargent during WWII.

On Jan. 12, 1946, he married the late Irene DuBois in Philadelphia. Ralph and Irene moved back to Kenosha and was employed at American Motors for 8 years, and later became a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service where he retired in 1988 after 25 years of service.

He attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Kenosha and some of his many hobbies include building clocks, houses, garages, and hunting.

Surviving Ralph are his two sons, Craig of Richland Center, Wis., and Ross (Lynn) of Bristol, Wis.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene, one grandson Aaron, and two sisters Violet Collins and Louise Legler.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at the Proko Funeral home at 11 a.m. with interment and military honors to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
