1947 - 2012

Richard W. Coach Ehnow, 65, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.

He was born on May 26, 1947, to the late Ervin and Lillian (Moran) Ehnow in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School.

Coach entered the U.S. Air Force on June 22, 1966, during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged on June 21, 1972.

Coach worked security and other various jobs at the KYF from 1974 to 1999.

Coach umpired softball for 23 years and coached sports for 35 years. Coach enjoyed umpiring and attending the Rotary Tournament and City Tournament for many many years. He was an avid Chicago Bear and Cub fan, and was a Wisconsin Badger fan.

Coach is survived by his siblings, Esther Big Sis Phifer of Dennis, Miss., Pat (Leon) Garrett of Las Vegas, Eleanor Toots Willems of Racine, Mildred Vance of Junction City, Kan., and James Ehnow of Las Vegas; his favorite niece, Wendy Mae (Mike) Rizzi and her daughters, Amanda Barrett, Alexa Fallabeck and Stefani Fallabeck. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ervin Sonny Ehnow and Edward Ehnow.

A Celebration of Life for Coach will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. with Full Military Honors to follow at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to the family.

The family would like to thank everyone who has ever given Coach a ride home.
