Robert B. Pattie, 28, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Silver Lake, Wis., passed away Sunday April 14, 2013, at Littleton Adventist Hospital as result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born Aug. 24, 1984, in North Chicago, Ill., the son of Roger and Deborah (Welzen) Pattie, living in Silver Lake, Wis., before settling in Denver in 2010. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and the Army Reserves. Robert was a member of Holy Cross Church, Wilmot, and enjoyed snowboarding, playing the drums, traveling, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Robert loved being a firefighter/paramedic, starting his career with Silver Lake Fire and Silver Lake Rescue, later joining the Town of Salem Department, and then joining the Department at Buckley Air Force Base in Denver, Colo.

Survivors include his parents, Roger and Deborah of Silver Lake, Wis.; a sister, Rebecca Pattie of Silver Lake, Wis.; his special friend, Haley Donaldson of Denver, Colo.; grandparents, Chester Welzen of Wilmot, Wis., and Jane Pattie of Aledo, Tex.; Aunt Shari (Mike) Reilson of Wilmot, Wis., Uncle Kevin (Christine) Welzen of Twin Lakes, Wis.; and many cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Barbara Welzen and Lyle Pattie.

Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church Hwy C & Hwy B, Wilmot, WI. Interment with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002.
