Barbara J. Cochran

1937 - 2017

Barbara Cochran, 80, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at United Hospital System-Kenosha surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on Jan. 21, 1937, in Naylor, Mo., the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie (Ward) Boozer. She was educated in the schools of Berrien Springs, Mich. Barbara married Larry Cochran on July 30, 1955, in Berrien Springs. Barbara owned and operated Cochran's Decorating with her husband, Larry for 34 years in Kenosha. She was a member of First Christian Church. Barbara's hobbies included traveling with her family throughout the U.S., being active at First Christian, and most of all spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Michael (April) Cochran of Kentucky, Douglas (Peggy) Cochran of Kenosha, Laura Cochran of North Carolina, Jane (David) Newton of Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler, Sydney, and Jade Cochran and Jacob Newton; great grandchildren, Nolan and Isaac Cochran and Oliver Sloan. Barbara is also survived by her sisters, Gerri Zimmerle of Michigan, Kay Rendal of Michigan; and a brother, Thomas Boozer of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 31, 2017, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 9-11 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Christian Church or would be appreciated.
