Carl Reid Bullmore

1925 - 2018

Carl Reid Bullmore, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 20, 2018.

Carl was born in Racine to Harold and Evaline Bullmore (nee Larson) on Dec. 19, 1925. He was united in marriage to Carolyn J. Olson on June 18, 1949.

Carl served his country from 1942 to 1946 on two different US Navy LSTs in the South Pacific during WWII. Upon returning from the war, he began a 48 year career as manager of Architectural Woodwork Company, part of the Veenstra Lumber Company.

After retiring Carl began a 20 year consulting position with Architectural Woodwork Institute of America. He also planted an apple orchard with over 1,200 trees and sold apples at many area farmers markets. Carl was an active member of Calvary Memorial Church and held many leadership positions in the church, including leading the college/young adult group for many years.

He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, and loved being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and derived great pleasure from traveling the backroads of Wisconsin.

Carl will be dearly missed by his five children: Steve Bullmore, Barbara (Paul) Dombrowski, Patty (Tom) Lockhart, Laurie (Robert) Andersen and Michael (Beverly) Bullmore; eight grandchildren: Katie (Aaron) Doering, Christy (Chad) Cashin, Jake (Leah) Andersen, Leah (Clayton) De Laney, Alex Andersen, and Abigail, Madeline and Graham Bullmore; and five great grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, his parents, Harold and Evaline Bullmore, his sister, Ruth Bullmore, his brother Robert Bullmore and his daughter-in-law, Carol (Wagner) Bullmore.

A celebration of Carl's life will be held at Calvary Memorial Church, 4001 Washington Avenue, on June 25, 2018, at 7 p.m. with his son, Dr. Michael Bullmore, officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family starting at 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Calvary Memorial Church Mission Fund. Online condolences may be made at
