David Marshall Pivovar

1953 - 2018

David Pivovar, 65, of Kenosha affectionately known as "Dave" was reunited with his beloved son Eddie on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2018 when he was born to eternal life surrounded by his loving family.

David was born on Jan. 16, 1953, in Kenosha, the third son of the late Edward Joseph and Gwendoline (Marshall) Pivovar. He was baptized at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Kenosha and had strong spiritual and philosophical beliefs. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduate from Mary D. Bradford High School. He graduated from GM Automotive Tech School in Milwaukee, Wis. David was employed at AMC/Chrysler for many years and enjoyed his retirement thereafter. He was a member of UAW Local 72. David enjoyed spending time up north, escaping to the Florida Keys and spending time with his family and friends.

His hobbies included a love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting and playing semi-pro football with the Racine Raiders/Gladiators in his younger days. He enjoyed watching football, working on cars and being a "Mr. Fix-it" but, more than anything, David loved being with his family and friends.

David is survived by his brother, Chris Pivovar; sisters, Kathy Thomas, Valerie (David) Beals, and Vern Pivovar all of Kenosha. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends all of whom will deeply miss him. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his cherished son, Edward Joseph Pivovar II, and his brother, Gregory.

In memoriam, a Celebration of Life service will be held for David in the future at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 5900 7th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Memorials can be sent to the s Project and Veterans of Foreign Wars both causes that David valued and supported.
