Obituary

Donald L. Losey

1952 - 2018

Donald L. Losey, 66, of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on June 3, 2018. Donald was born to the late Jean and Joyce Losey on April, 26, 1952 in Illinois.

Donald graduated from Zion Benton High School and went on to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War. He spent his last years working for Lakeland Building Supply as a truck driver.

He was an avid Harley rider, enjoyed boating on Lake Cumberland, KY, and was an exceptional pool player. He was a multi-talented perfectionist who could fix almost anything. Donald loved bonfires and loved them even more when he got to spend them with his family. He was a father figure and mentor to many; he was a loving husband and father that would do anything for his little girls. His love extended beyond his immediate family and he was extremely loved by many.

Donald leaves behind his true love of 33 years, Debbie Losey; son, George (Gail) Schwerin; daughters, Tiffany Losey and Brittany Losey (John Lipp); brothers, Gary (Barb) Losey, Mike (Kristina) Losey, Mark (Jeannie) Losey; sisters, Janice (Bruce) Thompson and Cheryl (Bob) Harris; grandchildren, Derek, David (Lyndsie), Ariel, Devin, Ryah, Dylan; and great grandchildren, Cj, Ty, and Kate.

A memorial service date and place will be determined at a later date.
