Edward E. Wasielewski III
1951 - 2013
Edward E. Wasielewski, III, 62, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 20, 1951, he was the son of Edward E. and Irene (Sinak) Wasielewski, Jr. He was educated in the schools of Franklin Park, Ill., and received an associate degree from McHenry Community College. He returned to Kenosha from Georgia in 2010.
On April 20, 1974, he married Geri Budnik in Chicago. They later divorced.
Ed was self-employed as a general contractor for several years before retiring due to his health. He enjoyed fishing, building models, playing cards and watching movies. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan and was able to draft architectural drawings with great precision.
Survivors include his two daughters, Chris (Ryan) Strash of Trevor, Wis., and Jenny Wasielewski of Kenosha; three granddaughters, Kate, Evelyn and Lucy; his mother, Irene Ettingoff of Brevard, NC; two brothers, Bob (Susie) Wasielewski of Roswell, Ga., and Joe (Tanya) Wasielewski of Beaverton, Ore.; three sisters, Linda (Chuck) McMillen of Fox River Grove, Ill., Doreen Bolt of Brevard, NC, and Cathy Rogers or Murrieta, Calif.; and his former wife, Geri Gloss of Kenosha.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Johnny Wasielewski.
Eds family would like to thank the Dr. A.J. Capelli, the ICU at Aurora Medical Center, and all of the supporting staff for the kind and compassionate care they gave him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Kenosha Bible Church, 5405-67th Street, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
