Ella B. Toigo

1927 - 2014

Ella B. Toigo, 86, of Minocqua, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1927, in Kenosha, the daughter of Michael and Teresa (Porto) Stancato. Ella was an avid quilter, crossword puzzler, Italian cook extraordinaire and truly enjoyed her retirement in the Wisconsin Northwoods.

Ella is survived by her loving husband, Abraham; children, Celeste Toigo Cecchini (Dennis) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marc (Lynn) Toigo of Collierville, Tenn. and Teress Toigo (Todd Gilman) of Rhinelander, Wis.; grandchildren, Tennyson, Palmer, Andrew and Ross; great grandchild, Kayson; brother, Michael Stancato and sister, Maria Goldstein.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Stancato and sister, Emma (Stancato) Serpe.

A celebration of life gathering for family and friends is being planned for when the lilacs bloom. Ella was an active member of the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship where she will be remembered in the Memorial Garden.
