1921 - 2013
Emiliano Holguin-Melendez, 91, of Kenosha passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Kenosha Estates with his family by his side. Emiliano was born on July 20, 1921, in Santa Maria Del Oro, Mexico to Ascencion and Micaela (Melendez) Holguin. Emiliano married Damacia Gullien on July 9, 1960. He came to Kenosha in 1976 and made his home here with his family. Emiliano worked for Ingrams Construction for many years until his retirement in 1990. He was a huge fan of baseball especially to Chicago Cubs and he enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by, his parents; his wife, Damacia; two sons, Cruz and Jesus Holguin; and his daughter, Reynalda Holguin.
Emiliano is survived by nine children, Merchor, Emilio, Isidro, Irene, Luis, Alvaro, Armando Holguin Leticia Moreno and Ramona Koessl; three step-sons, Felipe, Agustin and Francisco Carrillo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as other family and friends.
Funeral services for Emiliano will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
