Frederic T. Tom Oberhofer, 70, of Burlington, Wis., (Town of Wheatland) died Saturday morning April 12, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Wis.
Frederic Thomas Oberhofer was born on April 23, 1943, in Burlington, Wis., the son of the late Ernest P. and Helen M. Loftus Oberhofer. On April 24, 1965, in St. Johns Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, he was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Noonan. They lived in Twin Lakes until moving to Wheatland 43 years ago.
Tom worked as a plumber for Poritz Plumbing in Burlington and then for Local 93 Plumbers Union in Illinois. He was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster where he was involved in the booster club and was an usher. He was active in local youth sports and supported the Catholic Central Volleyball Team his daughter coaches. He was also their # 1 super fan and Monday morning quarterback.
Tom is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Thomas TJ (Tara) Oberhofer of Shoreview, Minn.; one daughter, Mae Mae Oberhofer of Burlington, Wis.; one granddaughter, Fiona Oberhofer; two brothers, Larry (Marianne) Oberhofer of Sun City, Fla., and Guy Oberhofer; brother and sister-in-law, James (Jane) Noonan of Lakemoor, Ill.; his extended family The Bey Family and Peter J. Weis; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster with Fr. James Volkert officiating. The Oberhofer Family will receive friends from
