George S. Brogan

1957 - 2013

George S. (Smith Jr.) Brogan, 56, of Kansasville, Wis., passed away on Dec. 11, 2013, at the Hospice Alliance House of Racine.

George was born March 28, 1957, in Kansas City, Kans. He grew up in the Kansas City area. He was a steelworker for 17 years at Bucyrus in Milwaukee. Past president of Local 1343 Steelworkers Union. Drove over the road tractor-trailer for five years. Received computer training at Gateway technical college. Co-owner of Canvas my Design. His hobbies were gardening, cooking and fishing. He loved animals, children, art and nature. He was a prankster and had a way of always making people laugh.

He is survived by, and will be missed by, his wife Kim Brogan; grandson, Aidan Bloomer; sister, Nancy (Greg) Baker; brother, Greg (Melanie) Smith, many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents Agnes (nee Pokoluk) and George S. Smith Sr.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Dec. 15, 2013, from 2 - 4 p.m. A brief service will follow.
