Geraldine J Brown

1928 - 2018

Geraldine J. Brown, 90, of Bristol, Wis. passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Froedtert South – St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Wilmot, Wis. the daughter of the late Carl and Sadie (Rasch) Gauger. On June 10, 1950 she married Ralph W. Brown and in 1964, they purchased a farm in Bristol, Wis. Geraldine was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bristol where she enjoyed playing the hand bells and singing in the choir. She enjoyed living on the farm where she raised laying chickens for eggs, as well as beef, pork, ducks and geese. Geraldine also had a roadside stand for many years. Her hobbies included working God's good earth raising flowers, vegetables, making jellies and canning her garden harvest. She was a talented quilter and loved to make quilts for her family; her other hobbies included embroidery, painting, decoupage and caning chairs.

Survivors include her children, Wallace (Sherry) Brown of Darlington, WI and Eileen (Chris) Goerl of Florida; daughters-in-law, Barbara Brown of Genoa City, Wis. and Carol Brown of Salem, Wis.; grandchildren, Ann (Brian) Lynch, Michele (Ted) Burrows, Robert (Patty) Brown, Elizabeth (Tim) Whalen, Chris (Caroline) Brown, Dana (Steve) Lippai, Carolyn Brown, Joe Brown, Pete (Natalie) DeRidder, Rebekah (Justin) Rindt, Kaylee (Nick) Schommer, Melissa Goerl, and Hannah Goerl; great-grandchildren, Mark, Sawyer, Sallieann, Harrison, Will, Brooklyn, Remmington, Keelia, Kimberlee, Logan, Hunter, Lauryn, Thomas, and Ladden; and three siblings, Nyla Dickau, Marvin Gauger, and Margery Maier.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Thomas Brown, infant great-grandson Jonathan; and siblings, Thelma Lewis, Delores Keller, Marles Kempken, Louis Gauger, Raymond Gauger, and Marlin Gauger.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7931 200th Ave., Bristol, WI. Funeral services will commence at noon, Monday. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Kenosha, WI. Arrangements by STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH. INFO 847-395-4000.
