James Henry Buse

1929 - 2013

James Henry Buse, 83, of Kenosha, died on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at United Hospital System, St. Catherines Campus.

Born in Guntown, Miss., on Aug. 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Burl Benjamin and Maude (Buse) Buse.

James proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korea War until honorable discharged on Sept. 4, 1948.

James moved from Mississippi and lived in Kenosha for 53 years

He was united in marriage to Gena B. Buse in Kenosha on March 3, 1953; she preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 2005.

James was a tool and die maker for American Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1981, moving to Mississippi in 2006, where he stayed for 5 years, then moved back to Kenosha to be close to his family.

He attended First Baptist Church. James was involved in his community as a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Local 72 Retirees. James tinkered with antique cars, one of which was his 1957 Chevy that he passed down to his grandson, Benjamin. He enjoyed playing cards, Rook, dominoes but mostly was a true family man.

James will be deeply missed by his daughter, Donna (T.J.) Mews of Racine; his grandson, Benjamin and his brother, Fred (Nell) Buse of Guntown, Miss., along with many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Along with his parents, and wife, James was preceded in death by his eight brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 3700 47th Avenue. Entombment with full military honors will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation for James will be on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with a Masonic Lodge service at 7 p.m.
