Louis M. Grasseschi Jr., 47, of Brighton passed away on April 22, 2013, at his mothers house in Salem following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born April 13, 1966, to Louis Sr. and Doris (nee Olson) Grasseschi in Burlington. He spent his early life in the Salem Trevor area. Louis was a 1984 graduate of Westosha Central High School. He was an auto mechanic for Town Auto before opening his own shop. Louis belonged to the Pepsi Collectors Club. He enjoyed 4-Wheeling, riding his Harley, watching drag racing, playing Pool and Baggo.
Louis is survived by his mother and step-father, Doris (John) Roach of Salem; his grandmother, Fern Howell of Pleasant Prairie; his son, Sam and Sams mom, Dawn Weis of Brighton; step-children, Mike Rasmussen of Milwaukee and Jason Rasmussen of Bristol; aunts, June Salb, Karen (Jack) Gerber, Mary (Ken) Davis and Tina (Todd) Richard; uncles, Dr. Mitchell Grasseschi, Jon Olson and Fred Olson; step-sister, Kim Rhem and nephews, Ira and Colin. He is further survived by numerous cousins and many many friends. Louis was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Fred Olson and Louis and Olga Grasseschi and a cousin, Matthew.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Debski officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family would be appreciated.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Haider and staff at the Aurora Cancer Center in Burlington, for their love and compassion over the last 10 months.
