Mary MA Perrine
1918 - 2013
Mary A. Perrine, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013, with her family at her side. Born in Racine, Wis., on Oct. 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Sevcik) Fojtik. She attended local schools and worked at Hamilton Beach and Webster Electric. On Nov. 8, 1947, she married the love of her life, Michael A. Perrine of Kenosha at Holy Trinity Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1971.
Mary was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, baking, and doing Search a Word puzzles. Mary was always laughing and had a smile that would light up any room. She always gave so much of herself without ever expecting anything in return. The cornerstone of Marys life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was a devoted wife and mother who left a legacy of unconditional love, compassion, and faith. Her open door policy always meant that you never went away hungry and always had a place to stay.
Mary will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her loving family and friends. Her legacy will live on through her two sons, Michael (Roberta) Perrine of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Robert Perrine of Torrance, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Perrine of Kenosha and Diane Brazale of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Helen Gregory of Racine, Wis.; a daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Perrine of Racine, Wis.; four grandchildren, Theresa Brazale of Milwaukee, Dina (Marcus) Perrine-Meinzer of Kenosha, Todd and Tate Perrine of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; a great-grandchild, Beckett John Meinzer, a sister-in law Florence Perrine of Kenosha ,many nieces and nephews and her two favorite pugs Mickey and Lexi.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John Perrine; a son-in-law, John Brazale; four brothers, Michael, Joseph, John and Edward Fojtik and two sisters, Ann Checkvala and Margaret Fojtik.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Debbie Gregory, Sue Bambrough, Linda and Bob Wilda, and Dr. Sherif Gobrial of Visiting Physicians in Milwaukee and his staff for the excellent care they gave Mary.
At the request of the deceased, funeral services were private.
Memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated so donations can be made to Marys favorite charities.
