Richard W. Terry, 83, of Brighton, Wis., passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha.

He was born Nov. 29, 1930, to Roman and Dorothy (nee Elverman) Terry in Burlington. He spent his early life in Brighton where he attended St. Francis Grade School. On Nov. 22, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marie Mueller at St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia. Following their marriage they resided in Brighton. Richard worked as a stock handler at Chrysler in Kenosha for 30 years retiring in 1986. All his married life, he also worked on his farm growing crops and raising hogs. He was a lifetime member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brighton. In his spare time he loved to play bingo and gamble at the casino.

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie; children, James Terry of Salem, twin sons, Paul (Linda) Terry of Kenosha and Peter (Diane) Terry of Salem; grandchildren, Paul, Nicole, Michael, Brian and Charles; great-granddaughters, Kylie and Aubrey. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Joanne) Terry of Mukwonago and a sister, Aileen (Bart) Hafferkamp of Kenosha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna and a daughter-in-law Joanne.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Brookside Care Center for all their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brighton, with Fr. Russel Arrnett officiating. Burial will follow service in the St. Francis Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Polnasek Daniels Funeral Home.
