Ronald A. Bohatkiewicz

1954 - 2013

Ronald A. Bohatkiewicz, 59, lifelong resident of Kenosha, Wis., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.

He was born June 1, 1954 in Kenosha, the son of the late Benny and Elizabeth (Bower) Bohatkiewicz. Ron graduated from Wilmot High School where he was captain of the wrestling team and had won state champion, and played football. Ron was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Twin Lakes and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6554. Before his retirement in 2006, Ron had worked at Chrysler Corp, in Kenosha and Milwaukee for over 30 years, later owning Caring Companions which allowed him to fulfill his passion of taking care of others. Ron enjoyed: fishing, hunting, golfing, and watching the Green Bay Packers, had an infectious sense of humor, and loved taking care of and being with his family. On Oct. 13, 2001, he married Amy Dickerson in Sturtevant,she preceded him in death on June 23, 2013.

Survivors include seven siblings Barbara Fonk of Trevor, Benjamin Bohatkiewicz of Salem, Don (Nancy) Bohatkiewicz of Bristol, Kim Tylkowski of Trevor, Karen Bohatkiewicz of Salem, Carl (Shannon) Kraft of Salem, and Lee (Renee) Kraft of Twin Lakes; special nephew Tanner; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings Michael, James, Frank, and Catherine and a brother-in-law Thomas Tylkowski.

Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Church 701 N Lake Avenue Twin Lakes, WI 53181. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Paris, WI. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002.
