Elenore Grasser

1929 - 2014

Elenore Grasser, formerly of Kenosha, late of Burlington, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Born in Kenosha on July 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Louise (Juengel) Haubrich. She was raised in Kenosha and was educated in local schools.

On Nov. 17, 1951, she married Chuck Grasser in Kenosha.

Elenore worked with her mother at Haubrich Slipcover and Drapery in Kenosha. In later years, she ran the Valley Oaks Restaurant and Tavern with her husband in New Munster, Wis.

Survivors include her husband, Chuck; six children, Pat (Nancy Fonk), Mike (Judy Antlsperger), Jeff (Nora Schulz), Chuck (Georgia Gray, Willy (Pam Styscko) and Fritz; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Willy Bill Juengel.

Elenores family would like to thank Dr. Randy Schmidt and his staff as well as Dr. James Moran and his staff for the kind and considerate care they gave her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, at Proko Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at St. Josephs Parish, 1540 Mill Street, Lyons, WI, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
